Anger against the government once again appeared on the streets in Pakistan, when the convoy of Asifa Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of the President of Pakistan and former Prime Minister of the country Benazir Bhutto, was attacked when she was going towards Nawabshah from Karachi. Asifa’s convoy reached near Jamshoro toll plaza, protesters stopped him on the middle road. The protesters looked angry and suddenly attacked the trains of Asifa Bhutto convoy with sticks, causing chaos on the highway for some time. However, Asifa Bhutto has not suffered any kind of injury in the attack.

The private security team of Jamshoro and Hyderabad Police and Asifa took quick action and took them out safely from among the crowd. In this regard, SSP Zafar Siddiqui said that the convoy stopped for less than a minute and no one was hurt. He said that an FIR has been registered against the attackers and so far many people have been arrested.

According to the information, the protesters are angry with the Sindh government’s plan, which has been asked to hand over agricultural land to corporate companies. Also, the disputed canal project is also having fear of displacement to the local people.
