Mate Bagosi, the U.N. humanitarian adviser for Papua New Guinea, said at least 20 people had been reported dead as of Sunday from community members and local officials in Enga province. “We have confirmed that at least 20 people have been killed, but the last news I have is that the number could be as high as 50,” Bagosi told The Associated Press, adding that the violence was continuing.
