Israel Airstrikes on Lebanon
Jerusalem: On Wednesday night and Thursday, Israel has started a new phase of the war by carrying out fierce airstrikes in Lebanon. During the airstrikes, Israel has targeted Hezbollah. The special thing is that the new phase of the war started when Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant announced its start on Wednesday itself. Meanwhile, the Israeli army has said, “The IDF is currently attacking Hezbollah’s bases in Lebanon to damage Hezbollah’s terrorist capabilities and infrastructure. For decades, Hezbollah has weaponized civilian homes, dug tunnels underneath them and used civilians as human shields, turning southern Lebanon into a war zone.”
‘Many Hezbollah hideouts destroyed’
Earlier, many Hezbollah hideouts were destroyed in attacks carried out by the Israeli army on Wednesday. The Israeli army had said that it had targeted several hideouts in southern Lebanon with artillery and jet planes.
Explosions in pagers and other devices
Before the Israeli army’s attacks, there were explosions in pagers used by Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon on Tuesday. At least 12 people were killed and about 3 thousand people were injured in these explosions. After this, at least 20 people were killed and more than 450 people were injured in explosions in walkie-talkies and other equipment in Lebanon on Wednesday. Hezbollah said that it will respond to these attacks in strong words.
‘Declaration of war’
After the explosions in pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has also lashed out at Israel. Nasrallah said that Israel has committed genocide in Lebanon. This is like a declaration of war. Israel has crossed the red line by carrying out this attack. Hezbollah chief said that Israel has tried to kill thousands of people along with those around them, Hezbollah is not going to be scared of such attacks. Hezbollah chief claimed that the organization will face every challenge and will again raise its head with pride. In his video message, Nasrallah said that Hezbollah cannot be broken, no matter how big the blow to it is. This is a declaration of war against the people of Lebanon and the sovereignty of the country. (Language)
