Israel on Tuesday claimed that he killed another highly placed general after destroying the Iranian military command.
The Israeli army stated that it had killed General Ali Shadmani, who was recently appointed as the head of Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters.Iran has not immediately confirmed Shadmani’s death. Shadmani was a general in Iran’s paramilitary forces revolutionary guards.
Who was Ali Shadmani?
Ali Shadmani was Iran’s Emergency military commander. Recently he was made the head of the entire army, before him Ali Rashid, who was the commander, died on June 13 in an attack by Israel. Shadmani took over both the Iranian army and the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC).
He was considered the most important and powerful military officer of Iran. His death is being described as a major loss for the Iranian army. On Tuesday, voices of loud blasts were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. According to the AFP, siren started ringing in many parts of Israel, after which the army reported that missiles from Iran have been fired.
Israel targeted government media headquarters
Israel has launched the headquarters of its official media IRIB News, intensifying the attack against Iran. Prior to this attack, the IDF had issued a warning to expel people from the region and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the people about leaving Tehran and change of power. Irani Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghei on Monday gave a name to the United Nations Security Council to stop the Israeli attack at IRIB News Headquarters.
