Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma said on Wednesday that when Pakistan daring to ‘challenge India’s unity and integrity’, then Indian soldiers bravely fought it, defeated the enemy and maintained the value of the country.
Their comment came at a time when Pakistani troops opened fire on the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in several sectors in four districts of Jammu and Kashmir, after which Indian forces gave “a suitable reply”.
After the recent terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, the neighboring country has violated the ceasefire on the LoC sixth consecutive night with the tension between India and Pakistan.
The Chief Minister posted on ‘X’, “India-Pakistan War: Indian valor and courage-since independence, the brave armed forces of India have repeatedly protected the sovereignty of our country by fighting the Pakistani invasion.”
He said, “When Pakistan dared to ‘challenge the unity and integrity of India”, then Indian soldiers bravely fought it, defeated the enemy and maintained the value of the country. “
Sharma, the four wars fought between the two countries-the Indo-Pak War of 1947 to 1949, the War of 1965, the 1971 war that led to the creation of Bangladesh and highlighted the 1999 Kargil War. He said, “Every Indo-Pak struggle underlines a permanent truth: whenever India faced the attack, our soldiers should be fearless, undefeated and adamant in their resolve.”
The Chief Minister also said that this legacy of courage and sacrifice inspires every Indian citizen. Sharma said, “Our armed forces are alert and are committed to protect India’s sovereignty and pride in every situation.” Jai Hind.”
Assam Chief Minister has been posting against Pakistan on social media since the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. 26 people were killed in this attack, most of whom were tourists.
