Chinese Woman Jumps from Hospital Roof: A report by South China Morning Post claimed that a Chinese woman jumped from the roof of the hospital after which she died. The woman jumped death from the roof because the doctor had disturbed the process of removing the tooth. This woman named Wu was 34 years old and was a resident of Anhui province of East China. The woman had removed one of her teeth at the Anchling Municipal Hospital. The hospital is known for its dental department. During the procedure, the doctor accidentally removed a healthy teeth and then forcibly replaced the wrongly removed tooth.
What did the woman’s brother say?
Wu’s brother said, “He did not use anesthesia for one and a half hours after surgery and my sister tolerated it.” He said that the doctor used wires to tie the wrong teeth along with several other teeth. Wu’s teeth were damaged due to this poor operation and he caused a lot of pain, his face was swollen. She was unable to eat anything and remained alive only by drinking water for the next few days because she used to wake up overnight due to pain.
Wu shared the video
Wu had also shared a video on social media. He said, “Nobody really said anything about this incident. The hospital lied to me from the beginning to the end, causing me a lot of trouble. Who will save me? I will die here due to the damage done by this hospital.”
Hospital did nothing
A relative of Wu said that, she warned that she would use her ‘death’ to prove her innocence after no action was taken against the hospital staff. The relative said, “Wu had repeatedly reported the matter to the hospital and the officials, but nothing was done.”
Family demands this
After Wu’s death, the hospital has suspended the doctor. Both health department and police are investigating the case. Meanwhile, Wu’s family has rejected the hospital’s proposal for compensation of Rs 11.7 lakh (100,000 yuan) of the hospital and demanded a monitoring footage of falling from the roof.
Such cases have been revealed in China before
This is not the first case of negligence in dentistry in China. In August last year, a person named Huang had a dental process, in which doctors took out 23 teeth and put 12 teeth in a single day. After 2 weeks, the person suddenly suffered a heart attack which led to his death. The case was revealed through an online post on behalf of his daughter Shu.
