Will India take tariff on 2 April? Trump again gave this statement

US President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that he does not intend to exempt any country on steel and aluminum tariffs. He said that from April 2, mutual tariffs will be implemented on American trade partners, as well as regional tariffs will be imposed. Reciprocal tariff means that the Trump administration will implement tariff rates on imports in the US based on tariffs and non-tariff barriers imposed on American exports to other countries.

Trump repeatedly insisted that he would not spare any country with his business steps. He said, “April 2 is a day of liberation for our country. We are bringing back the property which was given by a very foolish presidents without understanding.” Trump further said, “They charge us, and we will charge them. Apart from this, additional tariffs will also be imposed on auto, steel and aluminum.”

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levit said that the suspension was declared after talking to “Bade Teen” automekar companies like Ford, General Motors and Stelantis of Trump. Trump asked these companies to move production lines from Canada and Mexico to America.

Trump took the name of countries in the first joint Congress session of his second term, which according to him “too much” and “unfair” tariffs on American goods. He vowed to put mutual tariffs. “India charges more than 100 percent auto tariff from us,” Trump said.
