Former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina
The government of Bangladesh is now preparing to take big action against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In this way, Hasina’s difficulties are going to increase further. According to media reports, Bangladesh Police has requested Interpol to issue a red notice against 12 people and the name of former PM Sheikh Hasina is also included in this list released by the National Central Bureau of Bangladesh Police. Bangladesh contacted Interpol and said that the red corner notice against Hasina has been issued.
Said senior police officer
A senior police officer said that these applications are filed in relation to the allegations that come up during investigation or in any ongoing case process and this notice is used by Interpol for temporary arrest of a person, so that he can be extradited after arrest.
Explain that the Ainterpol helps to locate the fugitives living in another country and when confirmed with the help of Interpol, it also shares this information with the concerned authorities and then action is taken against that fugitive and extradition.
Case is registered against Sheikh Hasina
The Bangladesh Police had registered a case against Sheikh Hasina for conspiring to remove Mohammad Yunus’s interim government by waging civil war in the country and 72 others were also accused in this case. Other people who had registered a case in this case include Hasina’s party Awami League leaders and activists. The court had taken cognizance of the case registered by the police and asked the CID to start an investigation into the case.
