Cholera outbreak in Sudan
Cairo: Sudan is currently vulnerable to cholera. People of several areas after another are suffering from cholera, due to which 58 people have died so far. About 1,300 people have also become ill due to cholera. Health officials have given information about this. The Ministry of Health said that cholera has spread due to contaminated drinking water in the southern city of Kosti of Sudan.
Clearance of cholera is common
Cholera’s outbreak is common in Sudan, especially in areas where there is a shortage of clean water. Many international organizations are working in Sudan to improve health services and water hygiene, but people still suffer from diseases like cholera.
58 people died
The Health Ministry said that the city’s water plant was closed due to the attack of Sudan’s infamous paramilitary group, so contaminated drinking water is being supplied. The ministry said in a statement that 58 people died and 1,293 people have become ill due to cholera between Thursday and Saturday.
How is cholera
Cholera is a serious and infectious disease that spreads through water and food. Cholera is caused by bacteria called vibrio cholerae. This can cause problems such as diarrhea, vomiting and lack of water. If treatment is not found on the right, it can also create danger conditions for life.
