Boston: A young man has shocked even the security agencies by making public the confidential documents of the Pentagon, considered the most secure in America. It contains confidential military documents on the Ukraine war and other important files. A federal judge in Boston has convicted a ‘Massachusetts Air National Guard’ personnel in this crime.
The court has sentenced him to 15 years in prison for leaking highly classified military documents and others related to the Ukraine war. US District Judge Indira Talwani has sentenced this sentence to a 22-year-old youth named Jack Teixeira for leaking confidential military documents. Teixeira pleaded guilty earlier this year to six counts of knowingly collecting and disseminating national defense information. Teixeira appeared composed during the sentencing hearing.
The guilty person apologized for his actions
Before being sentenced he apologized for his actions. “I want to say that I’m sorry for the harm I’ve caused,” Teixeira said, adding that he apologized to his family, friends and anyone affected by his actions. Teixeira, 22, admitted that he illegally collected some of the country’s most classified intelligence information and shared it on the social media platform ‘Discord’. (Language)
