Azamgarh (UP): A fighter from UP has also been killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. This young man was fighting the war against Ukraine on behalf of Russia. A youth from Azamgarh was killed during the fight. It is being told that Kanhaiya Yadav, a resident of Bankata (Bazar Gosai) village of Raunapar police station area of ​​Azamgarh, has been killed by a bullet in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The body of the youth killed in the war was brought to his village on 23 December.

The family members of Kanhaiya (41), son of Faujdar Yadav, said that Kanhaiya had gone to Russia on January 16, 2024 after obtaining a cook visa through an agent. There he was trained as a cook for a few days and later given military training, he was sent to war with the Russian army. He told that Kanhaiya was injured in the war and died during treatment in June. Kanhaiya had informed his family about his injury in the war on May 9. He was in contact with his family members till May 25, but after that the contact was lost.

The body could be brought to Azamgarh due to the efforts of the Indian Embassy.

The Indian Embassy in Moscow called on 6 December and informed Kanhaiya’s family that he died during treatment on 17 June and his body was finally brought to his native village on 23 December. Kanhaiya is survived by his wife Geeta Yadav and two sons Ajay (23) and Vijay (19). Ajay Yadav alleges that the Russian government has given Rs 30 lakh as compensation, but the family has not received this compensation yet. When Kanhaiya’s body reached his village, a large number of people from the village and area reached his house and expressed their condolences. (Language)
