Story 2: One of the most awaited films of 2024 and the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, will release in theatres on Independence Day 2024.
Since the release of its trailer, fans are excited to watch this horror comedy as it looks promising for the fans. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt and produced under the banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

Stree 2: Street 2 Release Date
Story 2 starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor will release in theatres this Diwali i.e. on August 15, 2024. It will clash with two other films at the box office on the same day, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel and John Abraham’s film Veda.
Stree 2: Mysterious events
Stree 2 promises more twists and turns with lots of laughter and mysterious events. Not only this, the dialogues of the film once again promise to make you ROFL. The sequel starts from where the previous film ended. The trailer once again takes us to Chanderi with the locals (cast) on a mission to help Stree fight another villain named Sarkata.
Stree 2: Several changes recommended
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Stree 2 a U/A rating, recommending parental discretion for viewers below 12 years of age.
The duration of Stree 2 is 149 minutes and 29 seconds i.e. around 2 hours 29 minutes and 29 seconds. The CBFC has recommended several changes like changing the mention of some celebrities and renaming the National Monument to Matinee.
Stree 2: Returning cast and new faces
Rajkummar Rao will reprise his role as the protagonist who faced the mysterious Stree earlier. Shraddha Kapoor will also make her return a mystery for the fans. Apart from Rajkummar and Shraddha, several other faces like Pankaj Tripathi Rudra, Abhishek Banerjee Jana, Aparshakti Khurana Battu and Sunita Rajwar will return. Tamannaah Bhatia has also joined the cast of Stree 2 as Shama. She was first featured in a special appearance in the song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’. The trailer reveals that she will play a key role in the story, possibly as a key figure connected to a supernatural antagonist.
