New research shows that women feel cold more than men

Women Feel Cold More Than Men: New research has revealed that women feel more cold than men.

Researchers say women prefer warmer indoor temperatures than men, but is there any science behind the fact that women feel colder than men? Despite being of almost the same weight, women have less muscle than men to generate heat in their bodies.

Women also have more fat between their skin and muscle, so their skin feels cooler because their skin is slightly further away from the blood vessels.

Women also have a lower metabolic rate than men, which reduces their ability to produce heat during cold weather, and women feel more cold when temperatures drop.

found in large amounts in women Estrogen Hormone And Progesterone has great importance in relation to the temperature of the body and skin. Estrogen causes the blood vessels to expand and Progesterone hormone causes the vessels in the skin to remain tight.

This means that less blood will flow to certain areas to keep the body’s internal organs warm, causing women to feel colder. The balance of hormones changes throughout the month with the menstrual cycle.

Due to these hormones, women’s hands, feet and ears remain about three degrees Celsius colder than men.

The temperature of the internal organs of the body is at its highest level in the week following ovulation, as the level of progesterone hormone continues to increase.

Although women have colder hands and feet than men, their average core body temperature is higher. According to studies done on several species of birds and mammals, males generally prefer to live in colder areas, while females prefer warmer environments.

Male bats rest on the cooler, higher peaks of mountains, while female bats live in relatively warmer valleys.

Let us tell you that all of us have different priorities regarding when to start using blankets when winter arrives. In offices, it is common to have debates between male and female employees regarding the setting of the thermostat (temperature controlling device). This kind of debate is useful.
