With this, the name of the company has now changed to Eternal Ltd.. According to the news of the Economic Times, there will be four verticals in Eater-Food-delivery business Zomato, Quick Commerce Unit Blinking, Going-Out Vertical District and Business-to Business (B2B) Grocery Supply Company Hyperpore.

According to the news, Jomato was established in 2008 as Foodibe. It was later renamed Jomato. The company acquired the Quick Commerce Company Blinking in the year 2022. The company’s co-founder Deepinder Goyal wrote in a letter to the shareholders- when we acquired the blinkit, we started using the ‘eternal’ (replacing zomato) internal to distinguish between the company and the brand/app. We also thought that on the day Jomato, something beyond Jomato would become an important driver of our future, we would publicly change the company to the name of the company. Today, with the blinkit, I think we have reached there.
The name of the app will remain ‘Jomato’
Earlier, a few days ago, Jomato, a company that caused food and grocery, was approved by the company (board) of the company to change its name by taking online orders. Understand here that the brand name and app of the company’s food distribution business will remain ‘Jomato’. After the approval of the shareholders, the address of the corporate website will be changed from ‘Jomato.com’ to ‘Eternational.com’.
The company has raised Rs 8,500 crore
Jomato raised Rs 8,500 crore by selling equity shares to the institutional investors eligible to meet its growth objective about three months ago. Then Jomato CEO Deepinder Goyal had said that the proposed scheme to raise capital is to strengthen the company’s book. The company’s eligible institutional planning (QIP) issue was opened on 25 November last year.
