Nahargarh organic park in Jaipur has brought great news for wildlife lovers. On Sunday, a tigress queen gave birth to five cubs together. All five cubs are completely healthy and park officials are leaving no stone unturned in their care. The special thing is that for the first time in the history of Rajasthan, a tigress has given birth to five cubs simultaneously.
According to forest department officials, the queen gave birth to three cubs 11 months and 17 days ago. This time, one of the cubs born has four golden colored and one white color, which can become a center of attraction among all tourists and wildlife lovers.
DCF Vijaypal Singh said that as soon as the tigress queen was reported to be pregnant, special monitoring was started. On Sunday afternoon, the queen safely gave birth to five cubs. Special security arrangements have been made in the park since the birth of the cubs. The tigress and its cubs are being monitored 24 hours with CCTV cameras.
To protect the queen and her children from the heat, coolers have been installed around their enclosure and barn is created, in which regular water is poured to keep the temperature under control. Along with this, a special caretaker has also been appointed, who takes care of the tigress and its cubs day and night.
Currently there are a total of eight tigers in Nahargarh organic park in Jaipur. However, it will take one to one and a half years to include these recently born cubs in the calculation of the Forest Department. It is noteworthy that on 10 May 2024 last year, the tigress queen gave birth to three cubs, two of which are now completely healthy and have become quite popular among tourists in the park.
This achievement of the tigress is being considered a major success for wildlife conservation efforts not only in Nahargarh but all over Rajasthan. It is expected that this new generation will play an important role in increasing the number of tigers in the park and enriching biodiversity.
