New Delhi. The Congress party on Monday released a controversial poster on the social media platform X regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The post has now been deleted after deepening the dispute. Through this post, the Congress questioned the absence of the Prime Minister in an all -party meeting called on the Pahalgam terror attack. The poster depicted Prime Minister Modi’s picture in a unique and controversial manner. In this, the Prime Minister’s body was removed and only his clothes were shown and a message was written with him, “The time of responsibility is missing.” This post used to sarcast on the absence of PM Modi at an all -party meeting held directly after the Pahalgam attack.
After this post surfaced, sharp reactions started coming on it. Social media users and BJP leaders described it as derogatory and insensitive. After a stir in the political corridors, the Congress has now deleted the post. There has been no official response from the Congress as to why the post was removed.
BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala retaliated on the Congress over that poster. He released a video and linked it to the terrorist mentality and said that the Congress has “protesting the country by protesting”.
Poonawala, while targeting the Congress, also accused the opposition party of making derogatory comments against PM Modi, such as calling him “Hitler” or talking of “digging a grave”. Poonawala accused Congress leaders of giving “clean chit” to Pakistan and promoting the mentality related to terrorism. He said that people like Congress leaders Mani Shankar Aiyar, Robert Vadra, Tariq Karra, Siddaramaiah and Vijay Vadettiwar are repeatedly making pro-Pakistan statements. When the country needs to unite, the Congress is speaking the language of Pakistan and sharing pictures promoting terrorist acts.
