The Fact Czech unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has exposed another misinformation campaign being run by a social media handle in Pakistan, who is openly trying to hijack the Narrator and divert attention from the ground reality. The fact check unit on Thursday dismissed another fabricated Narrative, which was fabricated by Pakistan to attack a military base in Amritsar, Punjab, saying that it was a nervous false and misleading.
A post shared by a Pakistani user called @Shamil Jawanil was accused of “a large number of people being casualties” and “seriously injured” at the Amritsar base, and with it the hashtags such as #Indipakistan War, #Ooperationsindoor and #Pakistan were used.
The PIB fact check termed the video as “fake” and issued a warning against the spread of uncomfortable information, calling it “Pakistan Propaganda Alert”.
The unit clarified that the video given with the claim is the old clip of the 2024 forest fire, which has no connection with any military operation or attack. The PIB urged the people to rely only on the official sources of the Government of India for accurate updates.

The Pakistani side has jumped into the wrong information war against India after the exact missile attacks on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) under Operation Sindoor.
This reflects Pakistan’s desperate effort to divert attention through lies and digital drama.
The state-related accounts of Pakistan have adopted their familiar strategy of reuse of old photographs, incorrectly presenting the old video and creating a completely concocted claims, which makes it difficult to distinguish the fact and imagination.
The most prominent example of Pakistan’s such dramaticness is the viral picture that has falsely claimed that the Pakistani army killed an Indian Rafale aircraft near Bahawalpur.
However, this picture was rejected by PIB Fact Czech, which confirmed that it was actually a MiG -21 crash in Moga, Punjab in 2021 – which is completely unrelated to the current events.
