Good news for farmers!
The Haryana government is offering solar pumps to farmers on subsidy, and for this you can apply by 21 April 2025. There will be pumps ranging from 3 HP to 10 HP, and it will get huge discounts.
Now one thing is going to be kept in mind in this. Farmers who already have electricity connection, if they want a solar pump, will have to cut the electricity connection. And those who had applied for electricity connection but have not yet been found, they will get the first chance in this scheme.
The government is offering up to 75% subsidy on solar pumps! Is it amazing? But yes, there are some terms and conditions. For example, there should be no solar pump or electric pump in your family’s name. And there should be farming land in your name.
Another important thing is that if the water level in your village has gone below 100 feet, then you will need to install a drip or sprinkler system. And if paddy is cultivated in your area and the water level is below 40 meters, then you will not be eligible for this scheme.
If you applied for an electric pump between 2019 and 2023, you will get priority in taking solar pump, but you have to give your old application number.

To apply, you have to go online to the simple portal of the Haryana Government, Saralharyana.gov.in. Fill your application by choosing the pump capacity and company according to your need. And yes, whatever you will have to pay a little money, submit it and keep it with you. When the company comes to survey, they will have to show the proof of depositing their land papers and money. So don’t delay, if you also have to install solar pumps in your field, then apply quickly!
