Devotees have been blessed since 13th century
Ganesh Lord Ganesha, with ancient 16 arms established in the Emperor Halwai temple at Polypathar, has been showing blessings on devotees since the 13th century. The temple priest Ram Gopal Dubey (78) said that he has been offering prayers in the temple since 1955. When he reached the city after studying from Chitrakoot, the temple was uninhabited and there was a forest all around. Since then, he has been serving the Lord here. Presently the main gate of this temple has been given a new look by the administration.
There are idols of God of four ages here
This temple is mentioned in the pages of history. The construction of this temple is of the time of the Gond rulers. There are sculptures of 27 Nakshatras, Navagrahas and directions on its marble column. Apart from this, idols of gods of all four ages have also been made. Sri Yantra is also made in the upper part of the temple. It is said that this idol of Lord Ganesha is of the 13th century.

A cave is located near the temple
There is a cave behind the temple. Whose door is still open, people are not able to go down some stairs due to animals. It is said that Rani Durgavati used to come to this temple to worship from Madan Mahal Fort through the cave. There is a cave in Rajghat (Lalpur) where Rani Narmada used to bathe.
