Katra/Jammu. The new route leading to the Mata Vaishno Devi temple located on the Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir was blocked on Thursday due to the landslide due to rain. The officers provided this information. However, officials said that the pilgrimage continues smoothly from the old route, while the battery car and helicopter service is still suspended.

He said that the landslide near the Satya View Point on the Himkoti route occurred when the pilgrimage board had already made the pilgrimage through the old route due to continuous rains and the threat of landslide on the new route. Officials said that the route leading to the Bhairav ​​temple was also hit by landslides, which disrupted the movement of pilgrims.

He said that the agencies concerned have put their personnel and machines on both the paths to clean the debris. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had instructed to identify sensitive places on the pilgrimage route on 24 June and adopt the necessary measures to reduce the possible threats of landslides and stones to ensure safe environment for the devotees.
