Lucknow, Amrit Views: National President of Pasmanda Muslim Samaj and former Minister Anees Mansuri has termed the cancellation policy of Haj-2026 issued by the Haj Committee of India as a Nadirashahi decree in democracy. He has described this order as a direct attack on the sentiments of crores of poor Muslims. He said that most of the Hajayatri Pasmanda belongs to the Muslim society, who cherish the dream of this holy journey in years by adding hard work, one rupee. In such a situation, the policy of cutting up to Rs 1 lakh on cancellation and the policy of seizing the entire money at the last moment is inhuman and cruel decision.
Questioning the decision of the Haj Committee of India, he said that on what basis will be cut from Rs 23 hundred to Rs 1 lakh for cancellation. Is the Haj Committee now taxing the strength of the poor.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ministry of Minority Affairs and Haj Committee have demanded that this policy be withdrawn immediately and human and practical arrangements should be implemented for poor passengers. If the journey could not be done for some reason, then only the balance of real expenses should be returned with honesty. He warned that if the decision is not withdrawn, the Pasmanda society across the country will agitate against it.
