Maruti Celerio (26.68 kmpl)
Maruti Suzuki’s second generation Celerio hatchback is the highest mileage vehicle in the country. The company launched it with the new DualJet petrol engine. The Celerio AMT model gives an ARAI certified mileage of 26.68kmpl and the manual model 25.24kmpl. It is powered by a 1.0-litre DualJet K10 petrol engine that generates 67bhp and 89Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. The price of its LXI model starts from 525000 and goes up to Rs 7 lakh.

Honda City E:HEV (26.5 kmpl)
Honda recently introduced the new City e: HEV hybrid variant for the Indian market. This new model gives a certified mileage of 26.5kmpl. It has become the second most fuel efficient vehicle in India. The company has also started its production from today. Now after this it will be launched in the market soon. The new City E: HEV comes with a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated Atkinson cycle petrol engine that is mated to two electric motors. While the petrol motor generates 98bhp power with 127Nm, the electric motor delivers 109bhp power with 253Nm from 0 rpm. The City Hybrid houses a 0.734kWh lithium-ion battery that weighs 14.5kgs. It has three drive modes – Engine Drive (runs only on petrol engine), EV Drive (runs only on electric motor) and Hybrid Drive (runs on a combination of both).
Maruti WagonR (25.19 kmpl)
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is offered with two petrol engine options, one 1.0L NA petrol and one 1.2L NA petrol. Along with this, this tall-boy hatchback also comes with CNG option. In which its mileage is 34.05 km/kg. On the other hand, the WagonR 1.0L with AMT gearbox has an ARAI certified mileage of 25.19kmpl, while its mileage in the manual version is 24.35kmpl. Maruti Wagon R price starts from Rs. 5,47,500.
Maruti Dzire (24.12kmpl)
Maruti Suzuki introduced the new DZire last year. It has a 1.2L Dualjet K12N petrol engine. This model produces 90bhp and 113Nm of torque. It comes with both manual and AMT gearbox options. Its AMT variant gives more mileage than the manual. The mileage of Dzire AMT is 24.12kmpl. While the manual has 23.26kmpl. Maruti Dzire price ranges from 5.98 Lakh to 9.03 Lakh.
Maruti Swift (23.76kmpl)
Like the DZire, the new Swift is also powered by a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that comes with Idle-Start Stop technology. Its AMT model gives 23.76kmpl and manual 23.2kmpl ARAI certified mileage.
