Tata Car Price Hike: If you are planning to buy a Tata Motors car this month, then wait a bit. Actually, the company has once again increased the prices of its cars. This is the third time this year when the company has made cars expensive. Earlier in January 2022 and March 2022 also, the company had increased the prices of cars. This time the price has been increased by 2.87%. Due to this, Tata’s popular hatchback Tiago and sedan Tigor have become expensive by up to Rs 15,000. The company has already increased the prices by 1.1% on the Nexon, Punch, Safari, Harrier and Altroz.
Tiago and Tigor costlier by Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000
Tata Motors has increased the prices of its most affordable hatchback Tiago and popular sedan Tigor by Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000. The company has also increased the price of the CNG variants of both these cars by the same amount. There are a total of 11 variants of Tigor including petrol and CNG, this includes XE, XM, XZ, XZ +, XZ + DT, XMA, XZA +, XZA + DT variants of petrol. At the same time, CNG includes XZ, XZ+, XZ+ DT. On the other hand, there are 15 variants of the Tiago. It has 10 variants of petrol and 5 variants of CNG.

The company has made the base variant of this car the most expensive. Now to buy its base variant XE, you will have to spend Rs 15,000 more. Earlier, the initial ex-showroom price of its petrol variant was Rs 522,900, which has now increased to Rs 537,900. The new price of the top variant of petrol has gone up to Rs 732,900. It has been increased by Rs 12,000. Similarly, the base model XE of the CNG variant has been increased by Rs 15,000. Its starting price has increased from Rs 612,900 to Rs 627,900. The price of the top variant of CNG has gone up to Rs 779,900.

The company has increased the maximum price of Rs 15,000 on the base variant XE of Tigor. Earlier its initial ex-showroom price was Rs 582,900, which has now increased to Rs 597,900. Similarly, for the top variant of petrol, Rs 826,900 will now have to be spent. The company has increased it by Rs 12,000. Talking about the CNG variant of Tiago, now its starting price has gone up to Rs 784,900, which used to be Rs 772,900 earlier. Similarly, the price of its top variant has gone up to Rs 856,900.
Reasons for raising raw material prices
The company says that due to the steep increase in the cost price, it was necessary to increase the prices of the cars. A small part of the total increase has been passed on to the customers. Actually, the raw material used in the car is getting expensive continuously. Due to which the companies have been forced to increase the prices. Not only Tata, the country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Honda Mahindra & Mahindra, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Volvo companies have also increased the price.
