There is great news for the customers who love Tata Motors’ cars. The company is going to launch the DCT automatic variant of its popular premium hatchback Altroz on March 21. The special thing is that the company has also started pre-booking of this upcoming car. You can book the new automatic Altroz from an authorized Tata dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. It was believed that the company would offer DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) with the 1.2-litre turbo variant of the Altroz, but that is not the case now.
May get 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine
This new variant of Altroz is going to be a bit expensive. The company is going to offer a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox mated to a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine with manual gearbox generates power of 86bhp with torque of 113Nm. It is expected that the DCT variant will also generate the same power.

Will get bigger touchscreen infotainment system than before
The special thing is that the company will also offer Altroz DCT automatic in Dark Edition. Apart from this, the company is going to offer a bigger and more modern touchscreen infotainment system in the top models of the new variants. As of now, the company is offering a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the current Altroz.
Price can be more than one lakh rupees
The automatic Altroz can be Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the regular manual version. As of now, this hatchback comes in between Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.69 lakh. At the same time, the price of its iTurbo version is between Rs 8.1 lakh and Rs 9.4 lakh.
