This is the same team from Mahindra that designed the all-new Thar and the XUV700. Mahindra’s upcoming Scorpio has also been designed by this team. Mahindra’s designer team is led by Ramkripa Ananthan.
Anathan to be a consultant in Ola Electric Cars
ET Auto quoted sources in a report as saying that Ananthan-led Crux Studio has tied up with Ola Electric to design the vehicle projects. It is believed that the design firm may be involved in the car project of Ola Electric. Its work is also expected to start around the next financial year. According to the report, Ananthan had also recently visited the head office of Ola Electric. At the same time, another source who worked in a senior position with Ola Electric told the publication that Ramkripa Ananthan has been roped in as a consultant.

Who is Ramkripa Ananthan?
Ramkripa, 51, heads the design team at Mahindra & Mahindra. He has about 20 people in this team. He designed the XUV500 for Mahindra. This vehicle quickly became popular in the SUV segment of India due to its design. He then designed the XUV700, the all-new Thar and the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio. He has studied Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani and IDC School of Designing (IIT Bombay).

Autonomous driving technology will be available
Ola Electric has already talked about its planning regarding the electric car. The company is also planning to work on cars with autonomous driving technology. According to Rushlane, the company started testing autonomous driving technology six months ago, in which the company modified a golf cart. This included two Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) cameras, a video camera and GPS. It explored the obstacles ahead, stopped for people and found its way out on its own.
Self driving test of car also done
Ola Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal also revealed last month that Ola Electric started testing a self-drive vehicle about six months ago and will launch it in the global market by the end of 2023 or early 2024. . Ola Electric will aim to launch a car for around Rs 10 lakh so that more and more people can buy it. The company also demonstrated a self-driving cart at its 500-acre electric two-wheeler manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu’s Pochampally town.
