Competition is going to increase in the market of electric 4-wheelers. Tata Motors is going to launch a new vehicle in the Indian market on 6th April. There are different speculations about the launch. Meanwhile, the company has told that it will be a concept of a new electric SUV. There is no official indication about this model. It can either be a more range model of the already existing model or it can be a completely new car.
Rumors have it that a new, longer range Nexon EV is on the way, though this could not be officially confirmed. The current Nexon Electric is the best selling car in the country. It is powered by a 30.2kW battery pack and claims a range of 312km on a full charge. Its motor is capable of generating maximum power of 127bhp and peak torque of 245Nm. The SUV reaches 0-100 kmph in 9.9 seconds.

If the company updates the Nexon EV, then some changes can be made in its exterior and interior. The SUV has crossed the 13,500 unit sales mark within just two years of its launch. Apart from this, the company has also recently rolled out the new Dark Edition of the electric SUV in July 2021.

Delivery of 712 electric vehicles in a day
Tata Motors created a record by delivering 712 electric vehicles in a single day. Tata Motors along with its dealer partners on Saturday delivered 712 EVs to the customers in Maharashtra and Goa. This includes 564 Nexon EV and 148 Tigor EV.
