New Delhi. The Delhi government has recently taken a decision on old diesel vehicles in the capital. The government has allowed such vehicles to be retrofitted with electric kits when they are in good condition and ply on city roads again. According to this permission given by the government, old diesel vehicles can be used by converting them to electric drivetrains if they are in good condition.
Delhi’s Transport Minister gave information
Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot gave this information by sharing a post on his official Twitter account a few days ago. He said in his tweet that old diesel vehicles can now be reused with electric kits. Gehlot also informed that the transport department will enlist manufacturers of electric kits for retrofitting conventional vehicles with electric powertrains and these kits will be used only after testing by the testing agencies.
