According to the latest SIAM data on the auto industry, passenger vehicle exports from India grew by 43 per cent in FY 2021-22, with Maruti Suzuki India leading the way with over 2.3 lakh units. According to the data, the total passenger vehicle (PV) export in 2021-22 stood at 5,77,875 units, while in 2020-21 this figure was 4,04,397 units.

According to data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the passenger vehicle segment saw a 42 per cent growth in exports to 3,74,986 units, while the utility vehicle segment saw an increase of 46 per cent to 2,01,036 units.

Vans exports increased to 1,853 units in FY 2021-22 from 1,648 units in FY 2020-21. In terms of exports, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) topped the list, followed by Hyundai Motor India and Kia India. MSI exported 2,35,670 passenger vehicles during this period, which is more than double compared to the previous financial year.
