UPSC Prelims 2022: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Preliminary Exam will be conducted on June 5, 2022. Every year around lakhs of candidates apply for UPSC Prelims Exam. The exam is conducted as the first stage for UPSC Civil Services as well as UPSC Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam. UPSC Preliminary Exam is divided into two papers – General Studies I and General Studies II.
Let us tell you, Paper II is also commonly called as CSAT. Candidate passing Paper II will have to obtain minimum 33 percent marks. All those who qualify in Paper II are shortlisted on the basis of cut off prescribed.

Candidates equal to 10 times the total recruitment are shortlisted for UPSC Mains Exam. For example, if a total of 991 vacancies are announced, then around 9990 or 10000 candidates will be shortlisted for the main exam.

UPSC CSE Prelims will consist of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. Both the question papers will be of objective type (multiple choice questions) and each paper will be of two hours. The minimum qualifying marks in Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination for General Studies II will be fixed at 33 per cent. Know- when will the admit card be issued
UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2022 Admit Card expected to release soon on official UPSC website. Candidates appearing for UPSC CSE Prelims 2022 will be able to download their hall tickets, once released, from upsc.gov.in. According to the notification released by UPSC on February 2, 2022, the admit cards will be made available to the candidates three weeks before the commencement of the examination. However, based on the past trends of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022, the admit card can be expected to release in the coming few days.
