Maruti launched the new Celerio in India in November 2021. Now the company has introduced it in the South African market. Maruti Suzuki will export this new Celerio to South Africa by making it in India. The international-spec model looks similar to the Indian Celerio. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces 66bhp and 89Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a five-speed manual and an AMT unit.

The new Celerio gets many features like a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 15-inch alloy wheels, reverse parking sensor, push start/stop button, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rear wiper. In India, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio competes with the Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro, Datsun GO and the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R.

Mileage
In terms of petrol too, the new Celerio is one of the most fuel efficient cars in India. In the AGS variant, you are getting a mileage of 26.68 kmpl. The mileage of Zxi, Zxi+AGS variant is 26kmpl. While the Lxi, Vxi, Zxi MT variants are getting the best mileage of 25.23kmpl and the Zxi+MT variants 24.97kmpl.
