Ola Electric has started testing the self-driving car, which will be launched in the global market in about two years. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has given this information. At the Ola Future factory in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district, Agarwal said Ola is looking forward to launch a car with autonomous technology developed in India.
He said, “Ola Electric started testing a self-drive vehicle about six months ago and will launch it in the global market by the end of 2023 or early 2024.” According to him, Ola Electric will launch a car for around Rs 10 lakh. Will aim to do so so that more and more people can buy it.
At its 500-acre electric two-wheeler manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu’s Pochampally town, the company also showcased a self-driving cart. Agarwal said Ola Electric is also planning to launch the low-cost Ola S1 scooter later this year. He had earlier said that the company may take back some batches of electric scooters if found defective.
