Adani power will give electricity at the rate of Rs 5.383 per unit
Adani Power said on Saturday that it has won the bid for the supply of 1500 MW of electricity from an ultra-modern power plant to Uttar Pradesh. It will invest $ 2 billion. The company said in a statement that the Uttar Pradesh cabinet had approved the project earlier this month. The company said that it received the Authority letter (LOA) on Saturday, under which it would sign a long -term power supply agreement with Uttar Pradesh Electricity Corporation Limited (UPPCL).

India’s largest private sector thermal power company Adani Power said on Saturday that it had won a bid in a tough match to supply 1500 MW power to Uttar Pradesh. Under the contract, the company will set up a total of 1500 MW modern plants in the state under design, construction, finance, ownership and operation (DBFOO) model and will supply electricity at the highest competitive rate of Rs 5.383 per unit. Adani Power Chief Executive Officer S.K. B. Khyalia said in a statement, “We are happy to win a competitive bid for 1500 MW power supply to Uttar Pradesh and have the privilege of playing a leading role in meeting the state’s rapidly growing power demand.”
8000-9000 people will get employment
He further said, “We are planning to set up a modern and low-emitted state-of-the-art plant in Uttar Pradesh and our goal is to start reliable and high quality power supply by FY 2029-30.” Khyalia said that Adani will invest $ 2 billion in the installation of power plant and related Infra. According to the statement, this project is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to 8000-9000 people during the construction phase, while 2000 people will get employment after it is commissioned.
