NSE Scam: Another big disclosure has now come in the National Stock Exchange Scam (NSE Scam) case. The CBI on Friday claimed that the email ID through which ‘mysterious Himalayan Yogi’ had guided Chitra Ramakrishna, former MD and CEO of NSE arrested in the co-location scam, was allegedly It was originally formed by Anand Subramanian, operating officer of NSE.
In fact, the CBI told the court that they have found evidence to prove that it was Anand Subramaniam who had created a fake email ID ([email protected]) in the name of ‘Invisible Yogi’. Through this ID, Anand was making profit by revealing the secret of NSE.

However, Subramaniam destroyed the evidence later when the matter came to light. He deleted the email. The agency has claimed to have recovered 832 GB of data. The CBI also told the court that it has written a letter to Microsoft to recover the deleted emails and data. Subramaniam was reportedly referred to as “Yogi” in the forensic audit, but Sebi in its final report had refuted this claim.

CBI probing Seychelles visit
The Central Investigation Agency (CBI) is also probing Anand Subramaniam and Chitra Ramakrishna’s visit to tax haven Seychelles, which was mentioned in email exchanges between Ramakrishna and the mysterious Yogi. The CBI on Friday told a local court that Chitra Ramakrishna and his then advisor Anand Subramaniam traveled to several tax havens, including Seychelles and Mauritius, during their tenure at the exchange. The agency told the court that it was probing these trips to see if they were traveling for tax haven purposes.

A tax haven is a country that provides little or no tax liability to foreign individuals or businesses in a politically and economically stable environment. Anand was arrested last month

Chitra Ramakrishna was the CEO and MD of the National Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2016. In 2013, he was handed the CEO position. However, in 2016 he was expelled from NSE after misusing his position and his name being linked to a scam. Chitra is accused of taking many such decisions during her work, which was not related to the interest of the stock market. One of them was the appointment of Anand Subramaniam, for whom Chitra had prepared an officer-level post in the NSE. Also, Chitra promoted Anand Subramaniam every time during his tenure. Anand Subramaniam used to work in a company named Balmer & Lawrie before joining NSE. Where his salary was only Rs 15 lakh per annum and had no experience in the stock market and related work. Despite this, Anand Subramaniam was given a salary package of Rs 1.68 crore.
