The country’s oldest stock exchange BSE has started searching for the successor of its current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director Ashish Kumar Chauhan. Chouhan’s term is ending in November this year.
However, it is also being discussed that he is involved in the race for CEO of the country’s second major stock exchange National Stock Exchange (NSE). NSE is already looking for CEO. BSE in an advertisement announcing the start of the CEO appointment process said a person having 20 years of experience and meeting the “highest ethical standards” can apply.
In addition, the applicant must have a deep understanding of the financial markets, technology and operations. He/she should also have experience in working with the expectations of different stakeholders.
According to the advertisement, the candidate found eligible will be appointed for a maximum period of five years. The last date to apply for this has been kept 23 April.
