Cybercriminals have defrauded of over Rs 1.51 crore by hacking the server of a cooperative bank (co-operative bank) in Dombivli town of Thane district of Maharashtra. This information was given by the police on Wednesday.

Police have said that unidentified hackers hacked the cooperative bank’s server on March 12 and tampered with the bank’s data. Fraudsters have lost Rs 1,51,96,854 after hacking the server. Police has said that a case has been registered against unknown persons at Manpada police station under relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 65 of the Information Technology Act. Police said that the investigation is still on in this case and so far no person has been arrested in this case.
