In the midst of the Corona crisis and the Russo-Ukraine war, India has made a major breakthrough and achieved the product export target of $400 billion in the current financial year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the farmers, MSMEs and exporters of the country on this achievement.
PM Modi gave this information by tweeting on Wednesday and said, “India has achieved the target of exporting products of $ 400 billion for the first time. I congratulate our farmers, MSMEs, manufacturers, exporters for this success. This is an important milestone in our ‘Self-reliant India’ journey.”
In the tweet shared by PM Modi, it has been told through data that the government has achieved this target 9 days before the fixed limit. According to statistics, $46 million worth of product was exported every hour, with India exporting an average of $1 billion worth of product every day. In terms of months, an average of $33 billion worth of product has been exported.
India’s product exports stood at $292 billion in the financial year 2020-21, whereas, in the fiscal year 2021-22, India’s product exports stood at $400 billion, an increase of 37 percent. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted, “PM Modi’s clarion call of ‘Local Goes Global’ is a reality. Under your visionary leadership, India has created history by achieving the ambitious target of exporting products of $400 billion within a year.
Piyush Goyal said that India is on the way to become a powerhouse in the field of exports. The lion of Make in India is roaring all over the world. Earlier, in February, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal had said, “For 10 consecutive months, from April 2021 to January 2022, India has exported more than $30 billion. We have already crossed $334 billion in exports which is more than the highest exports made by India in the entire 12 months period.
