Today there was a tremendous rise in the shares of IT sector.
Share Market Closing 10th January, 2025: There was chaos once again in the Indian stock market today. Tremendous fluctuations were seen in the market on Friday. The market, which opened in the green mark today, was seen changing its color several times and finally closed in the red mark with a fall. BSE Sensex closed at 77,378.91 points, down 241.30 points. NSE’s Nifty 50 index also fell by 95.00 points and closed at 23,431.50 points. However, today there was a tremendous rise in the shares of IT sector.
Sensex fell from 77,919.70 to 77,099.55 points
On Thursday, the Sensex closed at 77,620.21 points and today opened with a gain at 77,682.59 points. During trading today, the Sensex traveled from an intraday low of 77,099.55 points to an intraday high of 77,919.70 points. From this it can be clearly estimated how much fluctuation there was in the market today. Like Sensex, tremendous ups and downs were seen in Nifty also today. On Friday, Nifty reached an intraday high of 23,596.60 points to an intraday low of 23,344.35 points.
Stormy rise in IT sector shares
On the last day of the week, shares of 21 out of 30 Sensex companies fell and closed in the red. Whereas, shares of 8 companies were in the green with gains. Of the 8 stocks that closed in the green, 4 were IT stocks. TCS shares closed today with the highest rise of 5.67 percent. Apart from this, shares of Tech Mahindra closed with gains of 3.63 per cent, HCL Tech 3.13 per cent, Infosys 2.55 per cent, Bajaj Finserv 0.55 per cent, Bharti Airtel 0.51 per cent, Hindustan Unilever 0.26 per cent and N&T 0.19 per cent.
Terrible decline recorded in these shares
Among the BSE Sensex companies, shares of IndusInd Bank recorded the biggest decline of 4.41 percent today. Along with this, shares of NTPC 3.78 percent, UltraTech Cement 3.57 percent, SBI 2.26 percent, Sun Pharma 2.25 percent, Axis Bank 1.95 percent, Tata Steel 1.89 percent, PowerGrid 1.80 percent, Adani Ports 1.67 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank 1.65 percent, Titan 1.40 percent. Percent, Asian Paints Shares of ITC closed down by 1.31 percent, ITC by 1.18 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra by 1.13 percent, ICICI Bank by 1.10 percent, Reliance Industries by 1.01 percent.
