The PM said, India’s auto industry has grown at the rate of about 12 percent in the last year. Not many countries have the population as many vehicles are sold every year as India. I am happy that the scope of India Mobility Expo has increased significantly this year. Last year, more than 800 exhibitors participated and more than 1.5 lakh people visited. This time, apart from Bharat Mandapam, this expo is also going on at Ashobhami in Dwarka and India Expo Center in Greater Noida. A large number of people will come here in the next five to six days. New vehicles are also going to be launched here.

The Prime Minister said, the sale of lakhs of vehicles shows how the demand in India is continuously increasing. It also highlights why India is being looked at with such high expectations when it comes to the future of mobility. India is now the fifth largest economy in the world and when it comes to the passenger vehicle market, we rank third globally. Imagine where our auto market will be when India becomes one of the top 3 economies of the world.

Remembered Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki
Modi said, today, on this big event of India’s auto sector, I would like to remember Ratan Tata ji and Osamu Suzuki ji. Both these stalwarts have contributed a lot in fulfilling the dream of the Indian middle class in the auto sector. I am sure his legacy will continue to inspire the entire mobility sector of India.
