Although the prices of petrol and diesel in India are stable, but the prices of oil in neighboring Sri Lanka are at record levels. Recently, Lanka IOC, a subsidiary of India’s leading oil company Indian Oil Corporation, raised fuel prices.
Government oil company increased prices: Now Sri Lanka’s state-run oil and gas company Ceylon Petroleum has also increased the prices of petrol and diesel. Ceylon Petroleum has increased the price of petrol by Rs 77 per liter and diesel by Rs 55 per liter.
Here is the rate list: Petrol prices have risen by 43.5 per cent to a record Rs 254 per liter, while diesel has risen by 45.5 per cent to Rs 176 per liter after the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) hiked prices.
