Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a Tata group company, has started operations in the solar power project. The project is 120 MW at Masenka, Gujarat.
Tata Power’s wholly owned subsidiary TPREL has commissioned a solar power project that will generate 3,05,247 MW of power annually for the Gujarat government, the company said in a statement. It was told that with the help of this project, the emission of carbon dioxide will be reduced by 1.03 lakh tonnes annually.
Praveer Sinha, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Tata Power said, “We are pleased to announce the commissioning of 120 MW Solar Power Project at Masenka, Gujarat in a span of just five months.
With this project, Tata Power’s renewable energy operating capacity will increase to 3,520 MW. Let us tell you that the share price of Tata Power is up 0.48 percent at the level of Rs 250. Talking about the market capital, it is more than Rs 79,720 crore.
