If you do not link, you will have to pay such a fine – If Aadhaar and PAN are not linked for 3 months after April 1, then a fine of Rs 500 will have to be paid. Along with this, after the lapse of 3 months, a fine of Rs 1 thousand will have to be paid. At the same time, your PAN card can also be made inactive during this time.
How to know PAN status – If you want to know about the active and inactive of your PAN card, then it can be checked online sitting at home. For this, you just have to check by visiting the Income Tax website.

, There is an option called Know Your PAN. After clicking here a window will open. In this, surname, name, status, gender, date of birth and registered mobile number will have to be entered.
, After filling the details another new window will open. You will be sent an OTP on your registered one. OTP has to be submitted by entering it in the open window here. After this, your PAN number, name, citizen, ward number and remark will come in front of you. It will be written in the remark whether your PAN card is active or not.
