Amidst the scorching heat in Bihar, many district administrations including Patna have decided to change the timings of schools. Classes in Bihar will be conducted only in the morning hours. People of Patna and Gaya are troubled by the scorching heat. Therefore, the district administration has decided that from Monday, all government and private schools will be operated from 6.30 am to 11.30 am.
Other districts where it has now been decided to run schools in the morning include Rohtas, Samastipur, Jamui, Kaimur, Sitamarhi, Purnia, Sheikhpura, Bhojpur and West Champaran. However, the weather changed in some areas of Bihar on Saturday and it remained cloudy in many districts, keeping the temperature low in those districts.

Patna district administration has ordered that from Monday all private and government schools will run from 6:30 am to 11:30 am and this arrangement will continue till the start of summer vacations.
Bihar’s maximum temperature
Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday, while the highest temperature was recorded at Dehri in Rohtas, where the mercury touched 39.8 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be cloudy sky in many areas of the state on Sunday and Monday and there is a possibility of light rain.
