CBSE: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has shared the information for those students of compartment examination. Who is unable to appear in Term 2 board examinations. The board has given specific details regarding the Term-II board exam result, eligibility for compartment exam and how to proceed if any student is infected with COVID at this time.
According to the report of Times of India, CBSE’s controller of examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said, “Term examination is being conducted, during this time if any student is found to be COVID positive and is unable to appear in class 10th-12th term 2 examination. In such a case, the Board will consider their Term-I performance for issuing the final result.
He said, this rule will be applicable to those students who may have to participate in national and international level sports tournaments.

On the other hand, Sanyam Bhardwaj said, students can appear in compartment examination only if they are placed in compartment category. He further said- “For class X, the board allows students to appear in compartment examination in any two subjects. The board prepares an examination schedule that any two subjects (odd) in which a student will be re-appeared for the examination. These exams are conducted in five to seven days.
Bhardwaj says, “For class 12th, students can take compartment exams in only one subject. Thus, for class 12th students all compartment exams are conducted on a single day.”
He further added, “If a student is unable to pass more than one subject in class 12th and more than 2 subjects in class 10th, he cannot appear in compartment examination. So he/she will have to appear in the main examination next year.” Only opportunity will be given where an extended date sheet is prepared.”
It was also informed by him that CBSE has made elaborate arrangements to avoid the spread of COVID and thus necessary funds have been given to the examination centres.
