This year, admission to undergraduate courses in 45 central universities will be done through the Central University Combined Entrance Test (CUCET) or the Central University Entrance Test (CUET).
UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar announced that this exam will be conducted in the first week of July.
Let us know what is CUET?
Common University Test i.e. CUET can be called as the new system of admission in various universities. It is important to know this for the students who have passed or are about to do 12th.
Let us tell you, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has told that, CUET has been started keeping in mind the convenience of all the students of the country. He said, this CUET exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through this entrance exam, admission will be done in all the university’s undergraduate courses. However, this year only central universities will come under the ambit of this exam.
Let us tell you, the application for the exam will be conducted on the official website cucet.nta.nic.in. At the same time, the examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Know- how will be the exam pattern
1- CUET Notification
Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2022) or Common University Entrance Test, CUET 2022 notice has been released. In the official notice, University Grants Commission, UGC has shared the comprehensive guidelines for CUET 2022. National Testing Agency, NTA will conduct the entrance exam for admission to Undergraduate (UG) as well as Postgraduate (PG). The detailed structure and exam pattern will be released at nta.ac.in.

2- Pattern of CUCET Exam
Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) entrance test will be conducted online in the form of CBT (Computer Based Test). The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and will be approx. In which there will be 100 multiple choice questions. Applicants will be given 1 mark for the correct answer. There will be a loss of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam time will be of 3 hours.
3- CUCET 2022: Syllabus
The CUCET exam will be divided into three sections, i.e., Section-A, B and C, which consists of. Questions will be asked in the exam from English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude and Domain Knowledge and Analytical Skills. Along with this, there will be multiple choice questions based on NCERT textbooks. Let us tell you, CUCET 2022 will be conducted for 27 domains which include Accountancy, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, History, Performing Arts like Dance, Theatre, Music, Arts and many more.
