Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced to make skill development courses compulsory in the state while addressing the annual decoration function organized at Haryana School Education Board campus in Bhiwani on Sunday. Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that skill development would be started as a compulsory subject for the students of classes 9 to 12 so that the youth of the state could become self-reliant in all fields. Addressing the function, CM Manohar Lal also stressed on making the implementation of the New Education Policy 2020 more effective on the ground.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana Government is making full efforts to provide quality and employable educational facilities to the students of the state. He said that the National Education Policy 2020 will bring revolutionary changes not only in the state but also in the education sector of the country. Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that there is a plan to fully implement the new National Education Policy in the country by 2030. But in Haryana it will be implemented only by 2025.
CM Manohar Lal said that Haryana Government is going to set up the state’s first Skill Development University in Palwal, which is very necessary in today’s era. He said that it is very important to find out whether a person has talent after attaining education or not. For this, the government is setting up a Skill Development University in Palwal. The Chief Minister said that along with education and employment in the new policy, the main goal is to make the students cultured and self-reliant so that they can contribute in making India a global leader again.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that along with technical education, emphasis is being laid on artificial intelligence to make education industry oriented. He said that education and culture go hand in hand and now skill development will also go hand in hand. Therefore, the subject of skill development in the state will be compulsorily implemented from class IX to XII, so that the youth of the state can become self-reliant in every way.
