The Supreme Court on Wednesday postponed the main examinations of Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch)-2021 scheduled to begin from May 6. Because, on this date, the preliminary examination of Madhya Pradesh Civil Judge, Junior Division (Entry Level) Examination-2021 is to be held.
A bench of Justice Vineet Saran and Justice JK Maheshwari passed the internal order. The next hearing will be on May 9. The top court asked the Punjab and Haryana High Court to inform the changed dates or assist it in fixing the date.
Raghav Gumbar and some other candidates had pointed out in their petition that Haryana’s examination was earlier to be held between April 22 and April 24. However, it was postponed from May 6 to 8 as the dates of the Delhi Judicial Services exam also coincided with that. Advocate Namit Saxena in the case demanded that the High Court should also postpone the existing dates in view of the dates of Madhya Pradesh examinations.
