Ecourt has given great relief to the candidates for the post of assistant teacher in primary schools. A division bench of Senior Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Justice RC Khulbe, while hearing an important hearing on Tuesday, has ordered to give five percent relaxation to ST, ST and differently abled under the guidelines of National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). Along with this, the court also said in its order that only those candidates will get this relaxation, who have scored more than 45 percent marks in graduation and B.Ed.
On Tuesday, the division bench heard together more than fifty petitions for abolishing the requirement of 50 percent marks in graduation, including B.Ed, for the post of assistant teacher in primary schools. While hearing the matter of general candidates, the bench has asked NCTE that you have not put a compulsion of 50 percent marks for the appointment of teachers from classes 6 to 8, but why have you placed it on the appointment of primary teachers. What is the concept behind this, tell the court within four weeks. During the hearing, Chief Standing Advocate CS Rawat told the court that NCTE has issued a guide line for giving five percent relaxation to the candidates belonging to SC, ST and Divyang category. On the basis of which the state government will give exemption.
this is the petition
It has been said in the petitions that for the post of assistant teacher in the primary schools of the state, the NCTE and the state government have put a compulsion of 50 percent marks in B.Ed and graduation. Which is contrary to the orders of the High Court and the Supreme Court. Following the orders of the Supreme Court and the High Court, the state government should be ordered to do away with the compulsion of 50 percent marks in B.Ed and graduation. Earlier, the High Court had ordered the candidates who scored less than 50 percent marks to be included in the examination, but there was a ban on the declaration of the result.
