The annual convention of Kendriya Vidyalaya Progressive Teachers Association concluded at Sir Chhotu Ram Dharamshala in New Delhi on Monday. In this the new executive committee of the organization was elected. In this, Narendra Kumar Singh, the teacher of Kendriya Vidyalaya Masjid Moth, was appointed as the President and Vinod Kumar, the teacher of KV Pritampura, was appointed as the General Secretary.
Various problems of Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers were also discussed in the conference, demanding implementation of MACP scheme, CGHS facility to KV teachers. Along with this, it was also demanded from the government that the teachers who come under the new pension scheme and are retiring, should also be provided the benefit of gratuity and family pension.
The chief guest of the conference was Dr. Rajeev Kishor Dubey, former MD, Canara Bank. He highlighted the role of Kendriya Vidyalayas and the quality education being provided by them.
