new Delhi: According to a big news, the National Medical Council under the Board of Graduate Medical Education has decided to remove the upper age limit prescribed for appearing in the NEET-UG exam. The maximum age limit set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 2017 was 25 years for unreserved candidates and 30 years for reserved candidates.
The NMC had advised the NTA to revise the eligibility and remove any upper age limit from it, according to a letter to the National Testing Agency. This decision has been taken in the fourth meeting of the NMC. The age criterion in the examination has often been questioned in the Supreme Court and High Courts of the country.
