Under the Bihar Coaching Institute (Control and Regulation) Act 2010, these coaching institutes had given applications to the District Coaching Institute Registration Committee. After scrutiny of a total of 609 applications, 413 coaching institutes have been given permission to operate.
In the meeting, the committee was apprised by the District Education Officer that in the past a total of 609 applications had been received for registration of coaching. Under this, 287 coaching institutes were registered. 111 coaching institutes were rejected after finding them ineligible and they were given closure notices. Out of the remaining 211 applications, a total of 153 applications were considered in Tuesday’s meeting, out of which 126 coaching institutes were approved for registration. 27 were found ineligible for registration after scrutiny. Thus, 413 applications were accepted and 138 applications were rejected by the committee under the Act in Patna.
